Bloomberg officially labels Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao the richest in the crypto space after leading the rest with a net worth of $96 billion.
Recent results from the Bloomberg Billionaire index puts the Binance CEO above Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, whose worth stands at $92.9 billion.
However, Bloomberg’s findings on Zhao have been disputed since we all have little knowledge about the worth of his crypto investments and holdings.
The crypto mogul who once worked at McDonald’s back in his teenage days has chosen to distance himself from commenting on his true worth and added that he plans to give away his entire wealth.
Binance has also questioned the validity of Bloomberg’s study, stating that the crypto market is highly volatile to make any tangible estimation of the worth of their CEO.
Interestingly, Binance remains the biggest cryptocurrency exchange globally, with over $41 billion daily trading volume.
A recent journal by Wall Street claimed that the cryptocurrency behemoth would be worth over $300 billion if it eventually goes public.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk is still the world’s richest, with a net worth of $263 billion, while Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is reportedly worth $188 billion. French fashion mogul Bernard Arnault is in third place with a net worth of around $171 billion.
