Residents in some parts of New York are set to enjoy Seminars, classes, and tutoring on crypto and the blockchain space, thanks to the owner of The Shawn Carter Foundation (JAY-Z) and former CEO of Twitter, who is also the founder of Cashapp, Jack Dorsey.
“The Bitcoin Academy,” the proposed name for the project, which is set to lunch this year, 2022, in July for the residents of New York by the veteran and popular Hip hop king, Jay-Z, and Cashapp Founder Jack Dorsey.
Reports are that the Educational program is set to kick-start from the 22nd of July till the 7th of September, 2022. It would expose and lecture young youths and the elderly, particularly from Marcy project public housing complex in NY City. This exercise will be held online and in-person for every interested person. The Organizers are believed to give mobile gadgets like phones and laptops to every participant or whomsoever requires them.
Jack Dorsey has claimed to be impressed by the large exposure and financial literacy received by Africans, South Americans, and central citizens. Had reiterated, “When tools like this are given to people, they become independent and impact the world positively.” He has also mentioned that this idea is not just to teach Bitcoin but also to help build individual confidence and promote independence and local economies.
The individuals(Jack & Jay-Z) and heavyweights known to co-own the multi-billion dollar record label Tidal have shown their interest and love for the web3 and blockchain space through owning a crypto punk avatar on Jay-Zs’ end. While Jack, on the other hand, incorporated crypto and made it easily transferable via his payment platform, Cashapp.
