Mexican medical service (MDS) set in motion for the adoption of the blockchain to help validate Covid results and their authenticity, avoid counterfeit information in the medical history and also safeguard medical data of her patients.
The Mexican medical service launched an online platform which will enable patients access their medical data online.
Results will be provided physically for patients who request for them, a unique QR is also being provided for patients to scan and provide validated medical results and to allow access to a patient’s medical history and vaccination history on the blockchain.
MDS revealed the reason behind their adoption of blockchain technology during an interview session, speaking about the failure of medical firms which has failed to safeguard medical data over the years. The firm is determined to safeguard medical data and history of their clients and patients.
Medical results for the Covid test will be uploaded into the blockchain that will include a cryptographic signature from the doctor who verified the outcome of the test. The test result which have been uploaded to the MDS blockchain will include a cryptographic seal from the Doctor-in-charge to help validate the authenticity of the results.
